What Is Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-IpNhrpMIB?

Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-IpNhrpMIB is a Nortel Networks (Magellan Passport carrier switch platform) proprietary MIB managing NHRP (Next Hop Resolution Protocol) components on virtual routers. Its row-status tables control creation/deletion of per-logical-interface NHRP-interface and per-virtual-router NHRP components, an admin-control table sets SNMP admin status, a provisioning table records max resolution-cache entries and forward/reverse transit-record flags, and a state table records admin/operational state. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm NHRP cache sizing and per-virtual-router NHRP enablement on a Nortel Magellan Passport switch. It is deployed on Nortel Networks Magellan Passport carrier switching platforms (NHRP). Engineers can download the Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-IpNhrpMIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-IpNhrpMIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Nortel Networks Magellan Passport carrier switching platforms (NHRP)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks mscVrIpNhrpMaxResCacheEntries and mscVrIpNhrpAdminState to confirm NHRP cache sizing and enablement on a Nortel Magellan Passport switch.
