Description: Defines OID registrations for Nortel NTWS access point device models and hardware variants.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is NTWS-REGISTRATION-DEVICES-MIB?
NTWS-REGISTRATION-DEVICES-MIB is an OID registration module defining product identifiers for Nortel Networks' NTWS wireless switch and access point hardware models, including switch variants such as the 2360, 2372, 2380, and 2382. It belongs to the Nortel enterprise wireless networking technology area. As a device-registration module it defines no operational data objects, only the OID arcs used to uniquely identify each hardware model. It is not directly used to monitor hardware/software status but supplies the identifiers that companion NTWS management MIBs, such as NTWS-BASIC-MIB, use to report which specific switch model is present via sysObjectID. It depends on the broader Nortel enterprise SNMPv2-SMI OID hierarchy. It is deployed alongside functional NTWS MIBs wherever these wireless switches are managed. Engineers can download the NTWS-REGISTRATION-DEVICES-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NTWS-REGISTRATION-DEVICES-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Nortel NTWS wireless switch (2360/2372/2380/2382 series)
Monitoring Examples
This module defines only OID identifiers such as ntwsSwitch2360, ntwsSwitch2380, ntwsSwitch2350, ntwsSwitch2372, and ntwsSwitch2382; a management station would use these to recognize which specific Nortel wireless switch model a device reports as via sysObjectID. There is no runtime monitoring scenario here since the module contains no pollable status or performance data, only model identifiers.
