Description: Cisco ME1200 Metro Ethernet switch MIB for integrated configuration file management including save, restore, and startup config objects.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ME1200-ICFG-MIB?

This is a Cisco ME1200 Metro Ethernet access switch MIB for integrated configuration-file management (ICFG), in the carrier/metro Ethernet access technology area. It exposes objects for saving, restoring, and managing startup and running configuration files stored on the device, including per-file statistics. It supports monitoring of device software/configuration status: me1200IcfgStatusFileTable reports each stored configuration file's name, size, and last-modified time, me1200IcfgStatusFileStatisticsNumberOfFiles/TotalBytes summarize configuration storage usage, and me1200IcfgStatusCopyConfigStatus reports the progress or result of a configuration-copy operation. It is modeled as a private version of the standard ICF (Integrated Configuration) MIB concept used across Cisco small-switch platforms. It is deployed on Cisco ME1200 metro Ethernet access switches at service-provider customer edge/demarcation points. Engineers can download the ME1200-ICFG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ME1200-ICFG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco ME1200 Metro Ethernet access switch

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll me1200IcfgStatusFileTable (indexed by me1200IcfgStatusFileFileNo) to check me1200IcfgStatusFileBytes and me1200IcfgStatusFileModifiedTime after pushing a new configuration, confirming the file was saved with the expected size and timestamp. me1200IcfgStatusCopyConfigStatus would be monitored during a config backup/restore to detect a failed or still-in-progress copy operation before rebooting the switch.

What Can Be Monitored

  • stored configuration file inventory
  • configuration file size and modified time
  • config storage usage (file count/total bytes)
  • configuration copy operation status
