prtconsoledisplaybuffertext

Module: LaserJet5Si-MIB

OID (symbolic): LaserJet5Si-MIB::prtconsoledisplaybuffertext

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.2.16.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: The content of a line in the logical display buffer of the operator's console of the printer. When a write operation occurs, normally a critical message, to one of the LineText strings, the agent should make that line displayable if a physical display is present. Writing a zero length string clears the line. It is an implementation-specific matter as to whether the agent allows a line to be overwritten before it has been cleared. Printer generated strings shall be in the localization specified by ConsoleLocalization. Management Application generated strings should be localized by the Management Application. Additional information: This object does not have to be cleared before a new string is written; the new string immediately replaces the old one. When a 79 SERVICE message is displayed, it is not possible to write to this object.
