Description: LANART Corporation MIB for managing LANART network equipment including repeaters and network interface devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is LANART-MIB?
LANART-MIB is a LANART Corporation enterprise MIB for managing LANART's network equipment, including repeaters and network interface/hub devices, based on its object names covering system configuration, link alerting, and twisted-pair port status. It exposes general system configuration, a link-alert facility, and a twisted-pair port table describing per-port state on hub/repeater hardware. Its monitoring purpose centers on hardware/link status: the twisted-pair port table and link-alert objects let an admin see whether individual repeater/hub ports have an active link and raise an alert when a port's link state changes, which is a hardware-connectivity health check for the device's ports. No explicit dependency on other standard MIBs is indicated in the available source. It was deployed on LANART Ethernet hubs/repeaters and related network interface devices in legacy Ethernet LAN installations, and administrators supporting such gear today typically start with a LANART-MIB download to load the module into their SNMP tool.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in LANART-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- LANART Ethernet hub/repeater and network interface device
Monitoring Examples
An operator can poll laTpPortTable (via laTpPortEntry) to check the link status of each twisted-pair port on a LANART hub/repeater, and watch laLinkAlert for notifications when a port's link state changes — for example, flagging a port that has unexpectedly gone down. laSysConfig exposes overall device configuration relevant to interpreting those per-port readings.
What Can Be Monitored
- per-port twisted-pair link status
- link-alert notifications
- overall device system configuration
