Description: Juniper Networks conformance definitions for system clock and timing management on Juniper E-series edge routers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Juniper-System-Clock-CONF?
Juniper-System-Clock-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting the system clock/timing management support of the SNMP agent on Juniper E-series edge routers. It declares which parts of the underlying system clock MIB (e.g. time source, synchronization state objects) the agent implements, rather than defining new managed objects. It has no direct runtime hardware/software status data of its own, though the clock MIB it references would typically expose current system time and synchronization source, both relevant to overall device health. It depends on the corresponding Juniper system clock MIB whose object groups it constrains. It is used for management platform integration on Juniper E-series routers where time synchronization accuracy matters for logging and protocol timestamps. Engineers can download the Juniper-System-Clock-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-System-Clock-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

- Juniper Networks E-series broadband routers
Monitoring Examples
This is a conformance-only module with no pollable objects itself; it lists which system clock MIB groups the agent supports. A management application would use it to confirm clock-related objects (such as time source or sync status) are available on the device before polling the underlying clock MIB. No direct monitoring scenario exists using this module in isolation.
