Description: QCI IPv6 tunnel MIB providing SNMP objects for managing IPv6-in-IPv4 tunnel interfaces and transition mechanism parameters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is IPV6-TUNNEL-MIB?

IPV6-TUNNEL-MIB is a Quanta Computer (QCI, built on QUANTA-SWITCH-MIB) proprietary MIB configuring IPv6-over-IPv4 tunnels. Its tunnel table, keyed by ID, records ifIndex, tunnel mode, local/remote IPv4 address, local ifIndex, status, and ICMP-unreachable mode, while a prefix table records the IPv6 prefix/prefix length and row status per tunnel. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm IPv6 tunnel endpoint addressing and assigned prefixes on a Quanta switch. It is deployed on Quanta Computer (QCI) switching equipment (IPv6 tunneling). Engineers can download the IPV6-TUNNEL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in IPV6-TUNNEL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Quanta Computer (QCI) switching equipment (IPv6 tunneling)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks agentTunnelStatus and agentTunnelIPV6PrefixPrefix to confirm an IPv6 tunnel's operational state and assigned prefix on a Quanta switch.
