Category: Domain: Server Hardware, Vendor: Intel

Description: Intel LANDesk Server Manager local response agent mapper MIB providing OID mappings for server management alert correlation.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INTELLANDESKSERVERMANAGER-LOCALRESPONSEAMAPPER-MIB?

INTELLANDESKSERVERMANAGER-LOCALRESPONSEAMAPPER-MIB is a supporting MIB in Intel's LANDesk Server Manager family that maps DMI/MIF component identifiers to human-readable component names, used to correlate hardware alerts raised by the Local Response Agent. Rather than exposing live performance or fault counters itself, it provides a name-lookup table (tNameTable/eNameTable) pairing a numeric a2MifId with a descriptive a2ComponentName. Its role in monitoring is indirect: it helps translate alerts and component references generated by sibling MIBs (Baseboard, BaseboardResources, ServerHealth) into readable labels rather than reporting hardware/software status on its own. It is tightly coupled to the DMI/MIF standard and to the other Intel Componentid-family MIBs whose alerts it helps interpret. It is deployed on Intel-based servers running the Intel/LANDesk Server Manager local response agent, alongside its companion health and resource MIBs.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTELLANDESKSERVERMANAGER-LOCALRESPONSEAMAPPER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Intel-based servers running LANDesk Server Manager

Monitoring Examples

This MIB is primarily a lookup table rather than a runtime metrics source: an administrator or management application would poll tNameTable/eNameTable, mapping each a2MifId value to its a2ComponentName, so that a numeric component ID referenced in an alert elsewhere in the Intel server-management MIB family (e.g. from ServerHealth or BaseboardResources) can be displayed with a readable name. It does not itself expose polling-friendly performance or fault counters, though administrators can perform an INTELLANDESKSERVERMANAGER-LOCALRESPONSEAMAPPER-MIB download to load its name-mapping table into their MIB browser.
