Category: Domain: Server Hardware, Vendor: Intel

Description: Intel Corporation server health mapper MIB providing OID mapping to correlate health events with specific hardware components.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTHMAPPER-MIB?

INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTHMAPPER-MIB is a vendor-specific Intel server-management MIB that maps low-level hardware health events and attributes to a normalized set of health-contribution objects, so that individual component faults can be correlated to an overall server health score. It exposes contribution tables (tServerHealthContributionTable, eServerHealthContributionTable) that associate a health attribute ID, component, and group with a contribution value and whether that value was obtained through active polling, plus filter tables for scoping which contributions are considered. This module is explicitly built for monitoring the hardware status of a server — aggregating many individual hardware health signals (each identified by a2HealthAttributeId/a2Component/a2Group) into contribution values that feed an overall system health computation. It is part of Intel's broader server-management framework and depends on lower-level Intel sensor/health-event MIBs (or IPMI-derived data) as the source of the raw attribute values it maps and aggregates. It is deployed on Intel server platforms/motherboards where a management console needs a single rolled-up health indicator derived from many individual component-level fault sources. Engineers can download the INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTHMAPPER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTHMAPPER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Intel server platform/motherboard
  • Intel-based rack or blade server

Monitoring Examples

A management console would poll tServerHealthContributionTable/eServerHealthContributionTable, keyed by a2ContributionTableIndex, to read a2Contribution for a given a2Component and a2Group, revealing which specific hardware component is dragging down overall server health. a2HealthAttributeId identifies which underlying health signal (e.g., a specific sensor or fault condition) produced that contribution, while a2UpdateThroughPolling indicates whether the value was actively refreshed via polling versus passively cached. tServerHealthFilterTable/eServerHealthFilterTable let an administrator scope which contributions are included when computing the rolled-up health status.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-component health contribution value
  • health attribute source/ID
  • component and group identifiers
  • whether health data was refreshed via active polling
