Description: HP ICF SNMP MIB for cloud-based management portal connectivity and registration status on HP ProCurve/Aruba network devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HPICF-CLOUD-MIB?

HPICF-CLOUD-MIB defines HP proprietary objects for configuring and monitoring a device's connection to a cloud-based management portal, part of the broader HP ICF (Integrated Communication Facility) architecture used in HP/Aruba networking products. Its data centers on the cloud feature's configuration and connectivity/registration status, letting an admin see whether the device is enrolled with the cloud service and whether it is actively communicating with it. In terms of software status monitoring, this MIB verifies the cloud management connectivity state — such as registration status and last-contact/heartbeat state — which is important for confirming a device hasn't silently dropped off cloud-managed oversight. It depends on the general HP ICF MIB architecture for its OID placement and likely interacts with standard networking status underneath, though those aren't modeled here directly. It is deployed on HP/Aruba networking devices enrolled in a cloud-based network management service. Engineers can download the HPICF-CLOUD-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HPICF-CLOUD-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • HP/Aruba networking device (cloud-managed)

Monitoring Examples

An admin managing a fleet of cloud-connected HP/Aruba switches would poll the cloud registration/connectivity status objects defined in this MIB to identify devices that have lost contact with the cloud management portal, which would otherwise go unnoticed since local CLI/SNMP access remains functional even when cloud connectivity has silently failed.

What Can Be Monitored

  • cloud portal registration status
  • cloud connectivity/last-contact status
  • cloud feature enable/disable configuration
