What Is HP-ICF-DEV-CONF-MIB?
HP-ICF-DEV-CONF-MIB is an HP Networking proprietary MIB managing device auto-configuration profiles, which automatically apply a bundle of port settings (VLAN, bandwidth, priority, speed, PoE) when a recognized device type connects. Its profile table records name, untagged/tagged VLAN assignment, ingress/egress bandwidth, CoS priority, port speed, PoE max power/priority, jumbo-frame and tunneled-node support, and row status, a device-association table maps a detected device type to a profile, and rogue-device objects report status/action and a MAC table for devices that don't match any recognized profile. As a configuration/security MIB it lets an administrator confirm which auto-configuration profile a connected device received and review flagged rogue devices. It is deployed on HP Networking switches with auto-configuration/LLDP-MED support. Engineers can download the HP-ICF-DEV-CONF-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HP-ICF-DEV-CONF-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
What Can Be Monitored
- device auto-configuration profile assignment
- rogue-device detection
Supported Devices
- HP Networking switches (auto-configuration/LLDP-MED)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks hpSwitchDevAssociationProfName to confirm a newly-connected VoIP phone received the correct auto-configuration profile (VLAN, PoE priority) on an HP switch.
