What Is HM2-PLATFORM-RADIUS-MIB?

HM2-PLATFORM-RADIUS-MIB is a Hirschmann private HiOS Platform2 MIB for configuring RADIUS-based client authentication and accounting used by Hirschmann managed switches for AAA services. It is expected to define objects for RADIUS server addressing and ordering, shared-secret and timeout/retry configuration, and authentication/accounting statistics - a mix of configuration and software-service status data. Its monitoring value lies in confirming the health of the switch's authentication service, such as server reachability and counts of successful versus failed authentication/accounting exchanges, rather than physical hardware. It parallels the concepts found in the IETF RADIUS client MIBs (comparable to RADIUS-AUTH-CLIENT-MIB/RADIUS-ACC-CLIENT-MIB) but implemented as a Hirschmann-private module. It is deployed on Hirschmann industrial switches that use RADIUS for 802.1X port authentication or management-access AAA.
