Description: Manages EPON User Network Interface (UNI) port parameters and service mappings on H3C ONU devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HH3C-EPON-UNI-MIB?
HH3C-EPON-UNI-MIB is a Hangzhou H3C Technologies proprietary MIB managing and displaying configuration of an EPON UNI (User Network Interface) on an ONU (Optical Network Unit). Its system-management table, keyed by index, records description, admin status, MDI mode, priority, VLAN type, access VLAN, trunk PVID, VLAN trunk-allow-list low/high, inbound/outbound line rate, flow control, speed, duplex, VLAN-VPN status, a count-reset action, port-isolate flag, VLAN configuration, auto-negotiation, a restart-auto-neg action, link status, and interface type. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm VLAN and rate-limiting configuration on an EPON subscriber-facing UNI port. It is deployed on H3C EPON ONU subscriber equipment. Engineers can download the HH3C-EPON-UNI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-EPON-UNI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C EPON ONU subscriber equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks hh3cEponUniAccessVlan and hh3cEponUniInboundLineRate to confirm VLAN and rate-limit settings on an EPON UNI port on H3C ONU equipment.
What Can Be Monitored
- EPON UNI VLAN and rate-limit configuration

| U32 hh3cEponUniOutStatsCollisions | 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.42.5.1.2.1.17 | Unsigned32 | read-only | The best estimate of the total number of collisions on this Ethernet segment. The value returned will depend on the location of the RMON probe. Section 8.2.1.3 (10BASE-5) and section 10.3.1.3 (10BASE-2) of IEEE standard 802.3 states that a station must detect a collision, in the receive mode, if three or more stations are transmitting simultaneously. A repeater port must detect a collision when two or more stations are transmitting simultaneously. Thus a probe placed on a repeater port could record more collisions than a probe connected to a station on the same segment could. Probe location plays a much smaller role when considering 10BASE-T. 14.2.1.4 (10BASE-T) of IEEE standard 802.3 defines a collision as the simultaneous presence of signals on the DO and RD circuits (transmitting and receiving at the same time). A 10BASE-T station can only detect collisions when it is transmitting. Thus probes placed on a station and a repeater, should report the same number of collisions. Note also that an RMON probe inside a repeater should ideally report collisions between the repeater and one or more other hosts (transmit collisions as defined by IEEE 802.3k) plus receiver collisions observed on any coax segments to which the repeater is connected. |
