Description: C-Data FD-series trap notification MIB defining SNMP alarms for PON link failures, ONU deregistration, and hardware faults.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is FD-TRAP-MIB?

FD-TRAP-MIB is a C-Data Technology vendor MIB defining SNMP trap/notification objects for the FD-series PON (GPON/EPON) OLT aggregation product line, covering alarms such as PON link failures, ONU deregistration events, and general hardware faults per its short description; the source module description is minimal ("Trap mib module") and no object names were captured for grounding. As a trap-defining module it exposes fault/event notification data rather than pollable counters, its general category being faults/traps for optical access hardware. Its role in monitoring is specifically to surface hardware and link-level fault conditions, such as PON port failures or an ONU going offline, so an NMS can react to hardware status changes asynchronously rather than through polling. It is closely tied to the companion FD-SWITCH-MIB and other FD-series device MIBs for the underlying object/status definitions its traps reference. It is deployed on C-Data FD-series GPON/EPON OLT devices in fiber access/FTTH network deployments. Engineers can download the FD-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in FD-TRAP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • C-Data FD-series GPON/EPON OLT

Monitoring Examples

No object or table names were available in the source for this module, so specific trap OIDs cannot be cited. Based on the short description, the module would define notifications for PON link-down and ONU-deregistration events, but this cannot be confirmed from the available data, since it is essentially a notification-definition module with no runtime data tables of its own.
