Description: ADVA Optical Networking F3 platform MIB for configuring data export (performance data streaming) from FSP 150 devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is F3-DATAEXPORT-MIB?
F3-DATAEXPORT-MIB is an ADVA Optical Networking proprietary MIB for the F3 platform family (FSP150CM/CC), configuring the Data Export feature that streams performance monitoring data off the device to an external collection server. It exposes configuration for the export mechanism itself, including report interval, target server address (IPv4/IPv6) and credentials, file path, and a set of configurable object tables specifying which counters/entities to export. While the export mechanism is configuration-oriented, its underlying purpose is performance monitoring: f3DataExportCounterObjects and f3DataExportConfigObjectTable define which performance counters (e.g., interface or service statistics) are periodically pushed out, making this MIB an important control point for continuous device performance and status data collection rather than direct polling. No explicit dependency on external standard MIBs is indicated; it appears to build on ADVA's own F3 platform object model. It is deployed on ADVA FSP150 network interface devices (NIDs) in carrier Ethernet access and metro networks where centralized performance-data collection at scale is preferred over per-device SNMP polling. Engineers can download the F3-DATAEXPORT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in F3-DATAEXPORT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ADVA FSP150CM/CC network interface device (NID)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would configure f3DataExportReportInterval, f3DataExportServerIpv4Addr, and f3DataExportPath to set how often and where performance data files are pushed, then use f3DataExportConfigObjectTable (via f3DataExportConfigObjectEntry and f3DataExportConfigObjectEntity) to select which entities/counters are included in each export. If exported files stop arriving at the server, checking f3DataExportActionObjects and the export status objects would reveal whether the export job itself failed, such as due to a credential or connectivity issue with the configured server.
What Can Be Monitored
- data export report interval
- export server address/path configuration
- exported counter/object selection
- export job action/status
