Description: Extreme Networks MIB for configuring and monitoring NetFlow/sFlow traffic sampling and export on ExtremeXOS switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is EXTREME-NETFLOW-MIB?
EXTREME-NETFLOW-MIB is an Extreme Networks, Inc. proprietary MIB (built on EXTREME-BASE-MIB) configuring NetFlow flow-export collectors. Its group-collector table, keyed by group number, records collector ID, ping-enabled flag, source IP, collector IP address/UDP port, collector-up status, downtime, and packets transmitted, while a port-config table records per-port NetFlow enable/timeout and overflow-packet count, and a port-filter-config table records egress-filter flag/number alongside a global filter-enabled flag and destination IP address. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm NetFlow collector reachability and per-port export settings on an Extreme Networks switch. It is deployed on Extreme Networks switching equipment (NetFlow). Engineers can download the EXTREME-NETFLOW-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EXTREME-NETFLOW-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Extreme Networks switching equipment (NetFlow)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks extremeNetFlowCollectorStatusUp and extremeNetFlowCollectorDowntime to confirm a NetFlow collector is reachable from an Extreme Networks switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- NetFlow collector reachability and per-port export configuration
