Category: Network Monitoring (RMON), Technology: Traffic Monitoring, Vendor: Extreme Networks
Description: Extreme Networks MIB for real-time traffic statistics collection and display on Extreme switch and router interfaces.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is EXTREME-RTSTATS-MIB?
EXTREME-RTSTATS-MIB is an Extreme Networks, Inc. proprietary MIB (built on EXTREME-BASE-MIB) reporting real-time Ethernet error/utilization statistics. Its table, keyed by index, records interval-start time, CRC/alignment errors, undersize/oversize packets, fragments, jabbers, collisions, total errors, and utilization. As a performance MIB it lets an administrator watch real-time interface error rates and utilization on an Extreme Networks switch. It is deployed on Extreme Networks switching equipment (real-time statistics). Engineers can download the EXTREME-RTSTATS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EXTREME-RTSTATS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Extreme Networks switching equipment (real-time statistics)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks extremeRtStatsCRCAlignErrors and extremeRtStatsUtilization to watch real-time interface error rates on an Extreme Networks switch.
