What Is ENTERASYS-TRACKED-OBJECTS-MIB?
ENTERASYS-TRACKED-OBJECTS-MIB is an Enterasys Networks proprietary MIB for configuring IP SLA-style probes and 'tracked objects' used to drive state-based routing or failover policies on Enterasys devices. It exposes resource-capacity data (maximum vs. currently-used objects, probes, active probes, sessions, and interface associations) along with a probe configuration table. Its main monitoring value is software resource-utilization visibility: how many tracking probes and sessions are configured versus the device's supported maximum, which is critical for capacity planning before adding new tracked routes or objects. No explicit dependency on another standard MIB is stated, though the feature parallels functionality found in Cisco's IP SLA and Object Tracking mechanisms. It is used in Enterasys routers/switches implementing policy-based routing or high-availability designs that key off reachability probes. Engineers can download the ENTERASYS-TRACKED-OBJECTS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An admin would compare etsysTrackedObjectsProbesUsed to etsysTrackedObjectsMaxProbes and etsysTrackedObjectsSessionsUsed to etsysTrackedObjectsMaxSessions to see if the device is nearing its tracking capacity before configuring additional probes. Walking etsysTrackedObjectsProbeTable/etsysTrackedObjectsProbeEntry shows each configured probe's parameters, letting the admin confirm a failover-triggering probe is defined as expected. A high etsysTrackedObjectsIntfAssocUsed relative to etsysTrackedObjectsMaxIntfAssoc would indicate the interface-association limit is close to being exhausted.
