Category: Vendor: Eltex

Description: Eltex end-of-MIB marker module providing OID boundary markers for Eltex enterprise MIB tree navigation.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ELTEX-ENDOFMIB-MIB?

ELTEX-ENDOFMIB-MIB is a small private module used purely as an OID tree marker within the Eltex enterprise MIB namespace, defining a single 'end of MIB' object that signals where the vendor's private MIB tree terminates. It does not expose device telemetry, configuration, or fault data of any kind. As such it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; it exists solely for MIB compiler and browser navigation purposes. It is tightly coupled to the overall structure of the Eltex enterprise OID arc rather than to any external standard. It would be encountered incidentally by anyone walking the full Eltex MIB tree with an SNMP browser or MIB compiler, not queried directly for operational data. Engineers can download the ELTEX-ENDOFMIB-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ELTEX-ENDOFMIB-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Eltex networking equipment (any model, structural only)

Monitoring Examples

The sole object, eltEndOfMib, is a boundary marker with no associated instance data suitable for a monitoring scenario; this is a structural/navigational MIB, not a data-bearing one, so there is nothing meaningful to poll here for device health. Its only practical use is confirming, during MIB tree traversal, that the Eltex private branch has been reached in full.
