Description: Eltex enterprise MIB defining the top-level OID registration and corporate structure for Eltex networking products.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ELTEX-MIB?
ELTEX-MIB is the root private enterprise MIB module for Eltex Networks, defining the top-level OID structure under which all other Eltex product-specific and feature-specific MIBs (switches, VoIP gateways, wireless devices, etc.) are registered. Rather than exposing runtime data itself, it establishes organizational branches such as management, device parameters, configuration copy operations, and various IP-related feature groups (OSPF MTU, BFD, unnumbered interfaces). Its monitoring relevance is structural: it is the anchor point that management systems and MIB compilers use to navigate the entire Eltex private MIB tree, and some of its branches (like device parameters) feed into general device configuration/status visibility. It has no dependency on external standards beyond the generic SNMPv2-SMI enterprise registration mechanism. It underlies essentially all Eltex device management, present alongside every other Eltex-specific MIB deployed on Eltex routers, switches, and other equipment. Engineers can download the ELTEX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ELTEX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Eltex networking equipment (switches, routers, gateways)
Monitoring Examples
Objects such as eltMng and eltDevParams serve as organizational containers for management and device-parameter branches respectively, under which more specific configuration objects live; eltIpOspfMtu, eltIpBfd, and eltIpUnnumbered represent feature-specific configuration groups for OSPF MTU handling, Bidirectional Forwarding Detection, and IP unnumbered interfaces on Eltex routing platforms. An administrator managing Eltex gear would primarily use this MIB as the entry point for discovering which feature-specific sub-MIBs and objects are supported on a given device, rather than polling it directly for telemetry.
What Can Be Monitored
- presence/registration of Eltex feature branches (OSPF MTU, BFD, IP unnumbered)
