What Is ELH100-MIB?
ELH100-MIB is a vendor-specific Cabletron Systems MIB for the ELH100 Ethernet hub, sitting under the cabletronOEM and cabletronRepeaters enterprise branches. The data grounded in this module centers on SNMP agent management configuration: community-string tables controlling read/write access and trap-manager tables defining which stations receive SNMP traps, rather than raw port traffic counters. It supports monitoring the software status of the hub's SNMP agent itself, such as which community strings and trap destinations are provisioned and active, which is foundational to ensuring the device can be reliably monitored and alerted on at all. An administrator would inspect elh100CommunityTable/elh100CommunityEntry, keyed by elh100CommunityIndex, to audit which elh100CommunityString values are configured and whether elh100CommunityStatus shows them active, verifying only authorized stations can manage the device. Similarly, elh100TrapManagerTable/elh100TrapMgtEntry entries indexed by elh100TrapMgtIndex show which elh100TrapMgtCommunityString and destination receive traps; if a trap-manager entry is missing or has an unexpected status, alerts from the hub would silently fail to reach the NMS.
