Category: Alarm and Event Management, Domain: DSL/xPON, Vendor: Calix

Description: Trap definitions for the Calix E5-120 access platform providing event and threshold-crossing notifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is E5-120-TRAPS-MIB?

E5-120-TRAPS-MIB is a legacy proprietary MIB (built on E5-120-IESCOMMON-MIB/E5-120-MIB/IEEE8021-CFM-MIB) defining notifications for the E5-120 platform. Its objects cover an alarm-input index/name, MAC anti-spoofing original/new/detected-MAC values, alarm original/new severity and configuration ID, a CFM continuity-check error cause, a hardware-monitor-failure flag, MAC anti-spoofing/alarm-cutoff/alarm-clear enable flags, a login-failure flag, an alarm-severity-change notification, a CFM-CC-error notification, and an alarm table/notification (object class, up to four instance identifiers). As a notification MIB it lets an administrator get alerted on hardware faults, MAC anti-spoofing detections, and CFM continuity-check errors on an E5-120 platform device. It is deployed on E5-120 platform equipment. Engineers can download the E5-120-TRAPS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in E5-120-TRAPS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • E5-120 platform equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator receives sysMacAntiSpoofing and reads sysMacAntiSpoofMAC to identify a spoofed MAC address detected on an E5-120 platform device.
