Category: Alarm and Event Management
Description: Cheyenne/Iomega InocuLAN antivirus server MIB defining SNMP trap objects for virus detection and scan event alarms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is InocuLAN-Alarm-MIB?
InocuLAN-Alarm-MIB is a legacy Cheyenne Software (InocuLAN antivirus for NetWare) proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 46) reporting the NLM (NetWare Loadable Module) antivirus agent's version and alarm behavior. Its objects cover major/minor NLM revision (for presence checking), a trap-enable flag, poll time, server name, and a free-text trap description. As a status/notification MIB it lets an administrator confirm which InocuLAN NLM revision is running on a NetWare server and whether virus-alert traps are enabled. It is deployed on legacy Novell NetWare servers running InocuLAN antivirus. Engineers can download the InocuLAN-Alarm-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in InocuLAN-Alarm-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Novell NetWare servers (InocuLAN antivirus)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks inoculanParmsTrapEnable to confirm virus-detection traps are enabled before relying on SNMP alerts from InocuLAN on a legacy NetWare file server.
What Can Be Monitored
- antivirus NLM revision and trap enable state
