Category: Domain: Power Management, Vendor: Digi
Description: Digi power distribution unit MIB providing objects to monitor and control PDU outlets, power consumption, and alarms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DIGIPDU-MIB?
This is a Digi International enterprise MIB for managing and monitoring power distribution units (PDUs), the rack-mount devices that supply and control power to networked equipment. It exposes objects for outlet-level control, power consumption metering, and alarm conditions across the PDU's outlets. Its central monitoring purpose is hardware status: tracking real-time power draw, outlet on/off state, and alarm/fault conditions that indicate overload, power loss, or abnormal current draw at the rack level. As a power-infrastructure MIB it typically has no dependency on host operating-system MIBs but may align conceptually with generic power-monitoring conventions used by other vendors. It is typically deployed in data centers and server rooms where remote power cycling and consumption monitoring of PDUs is required for capacity planning and remote outlet-level recovery. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the DIGIPDU-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DIGIPDU-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Digi power distribution unit (PDU)
Monitoring Examples
No sample object names were provided for this MIB, so a specific polling example using verified object names cannot be constructed without inventing them. In general, a PDU MIB of this kind would be polled for per-outlet power draw and outlet state, with alarms raised when current exceeds a configured threshold. This entry is limited to the general scope implied by the short description since no object list was supplied.

This trap is repeated periodically while the infeedLoadStatus remains in an error state. If the infeedLoadStatus returns to a non-error state ('normal' or 'notOn'), this trap is sent once more with the non-error infeedLoadStatus, and then stops being repeated. | ||
