Category: Environmental Monitoring

Description: Monitors cooling unit status, temperature, and fan operation for Dantherm HVAC equipment.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is DANTHERM-COOLING-MIB?

This MIB monitors Dantherm precision cooling units (CC3000 controller) used for HVAC/environmental control of telecom and data-center equipment spaces. It exposes controller-level system status and configurable high-level control parameters, plus per-fan configuration for at least two cooling fans. It is directly aimed at monitoring hardware environmental status: systemStatus reflects the cooling unit's overall operational/fault condition, and fan1Config/fan2Config track fan operating parameters critical to detecting fan failure or degraded cooling capacity. No dependency on other standard MIBs is stated; it is a self-contained proprietary environmental MIB. Deployment context is Dantherm CC3000-controlled precision air-conditioning units cooling telecom shelters, data-center rooms, or outdoor equipment cabinets. Engineers can download the DANTHERM-COOLING-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DANTHERM-COOLING-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Dantherm CC3000 precision cooling/HVAC controller
  • telecom shelter/data-center cooling unit

Monitoring Examples

Poll systemStatus under danthermCooling/controllerCC3000 to detect an alarm or fault state on the cooling unit, and check fan1Config/fan2Config to confirm both fans are configured and running. A fan reporting a stopped or fault condition alongside a rising systemStatus alarm would indicate imminent overheating risk for co-located equipment.

What Can Be Monitored

  • overall cooling system status/alarm state
  • fan 1 configuration/operational status
  • fan 2 configuration/operational status
  • high-level control parameters
