Category: Domain: System Management, Vendor: Memotec
Description: Monitors plug-in module hardware status, type, and revision on CX Memotec chassis devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CXModuleHardware-MIB?
CXModuleHardware-MIB is a legacy Crosscomm (CX900/CX1000 architecture, built on CXProduct-SMI) proprietary MIB reporting CPU-card hardware identity. Its objects cover a configurable alias (used as the CLI console prompt), hardware revision/assembly/ECO, physical slot, CPU clock speed, LED-display state, Flash/EPROM size, private/shared DRAM size, up-time ticks, reset timeout, software version, and node ID. As a hardware-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm CPU-card revision and memory configuration on a legacy Crosscomm CX router. It is deployed on legacy Crosscomm CX900/CX1000 router equipment. Engineers can download the CXModuleHardware-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CXModuleHardware-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Crosscomm CX900/CX1000 router equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks cxModuleHwSwVersion and cxModuleHwCpuClockSpeed to confirm CPU-card firmware and clock speed on a legacy Crosscomm CX router.
What Can Be Monitored
- CPU-card hardware revision and memory configuration
