sCellEventTrap62c

Module: CPQHSV110V3-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQHSV110V3-MIB::sCellEventTrap62c

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.0.13601580

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Severity: Normal -- informational in nature. One or more media defects were detected on a physical disk drive. The affected physical disk drive is identified in the device field. The Fibre Channel port over which the media defect(s) was detected is identified in the cerpId field. The HSV110 controller internal Fibre Channel port number over which the media defect(s) was detected is contained in the port field. The arbitrated loop physical address of the physical disk drive is contained in the alPa field. The Logical Block Address of each media defect is contained in a separate entry of the hdrCdb array. Only nonzero values in the hdrCdb array entries are valid. The location of the physical disk drive is determined by the content of the denclNum field as follows:

  • If denclNum is less than 99, the location is as indicated by the content of the rackNum, denclNum, and bay fields.
  • If denclNum is equal to 99, the location is unknown. Note that the content of the rackNum and bay fields is undefined in this case.
  • If denclNum is greater than 99, the HSV110 controller does not have proof of the current location but the last known location is indicated by the content of the rackNum, denclNum, and bay fields. Subtract 100 from the content of those fields to determine the actual last known location. If there have been no configuration changes, the last known location values will be accurate. The identity contained in the device field should be used to confirm the last known location values.
Note that the content of the rackNum field will not be valid until a future release.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CPQHSV110V3-MIB::sCellEventTrap62c
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.0.13601580

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
