Module: CLJ8500-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLJ8500-MIB::prtmarkersupplieslevel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.2.11.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The current level if this supply is a container; the remaining space if this supply is a receptacle. If this supply container/receptacle can reliably sense this value, the value is reported by the printer and is read-only; otherwise, the value may be written (by a Remote Control Panel or a Management Application). The value (-1) means other and specifically indicates that the sub-unit places no restrictions on this parameter. The value (-2) means unknown. A value of (-3) means that the printer knows that there is some supply/remaining space, respectively. Additional information: CLJ8500 detects three states for the toner: Above the 'LOW' threshold will be reported as -3. Between the 'LOW' and 'OUT' thresholds will be reported as -2. At the 'OUT' threshold will be reported as 0. The other consumables will report -2.

What is prtmarkersupplieslevel?

This object reports the current fill level of a supply container, such as remaining toner, or the remaining free space of a receptacle, such as a waste-toner bin, in the units from prtMarkerSuppliesSupplyUnit. This is the value an admin monitors most directly for consumables management, since it drives low-toner or waste-full alerting well before the printer actually stops working. For example, a toner cartridge whose level drops below 10 percent of its prtMarkerSuppliesMaxCapacity would prompt the admin to order a replacement before it runs out mid-job.
