Description: The value of prtMarkerColorantIndex corresponding to the colorant with which this marker supply sub-unit is associated. This value shall be 0 if there is no colorant table.
What is prtmarkersuppliescolorantindex?
This read-only object gives the prtMarkerColorantIndex of the specific colorant, such as cyan or magenta, that a supply entry is associated with, and reads 0 if the device has no colorant table. An admin uses it to map a supply-low alert to the exact color cartridge involved rather than just knowing some unspecified supply is running low. For example, a supply entry reporting colorant index 2 alongside a colorant table where index 2 is cyan tells the admin the cyan cartridge specifically needs replacing.
