What is prtmarkerspotcolorants?
This read-only object reports the number of spot colors supported by a marking sub-unit, separate from its process, CMYK-style, colorants. An admin cares about this when a job specifies special spot-color inks, since the MIB guarantees this value and prtMarkerProcessColorants are never both zero, meaning the marker always supports at least one color mechanism. For example, a value of 0 spot colorants alongside 4 process colorants confirms this marker relies entirely on process color mixing rather than any dedicated spot-color stations.
