Description: Defines SNMP conformance statements and compliance groups for Cisco UCS fault management MIBs, including notification groupings for active and cleared fault events
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-CONFORM-MIB?
CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-CONFORM-MIB is a conformance module within the Cisco UCS management information model that defines SNMP compliance statements and notification groupings specifically for UCS fault management, including groupings for active and cleared fault events. It contains only conformance/compliance constructs (MODULE-COMPLIANCE and OBJECT-GROUP definitions) rather than runtime data objects, so it has no direct role in exposing live hardware or software status. Its purpose is to formally specify which fault notification groups an agent must support to be considered compliant with the UCS fault MIB suite. It is entirely dependent on the corresponding UCS fault MIB (the module defining the actual fault objects and notifications) for meaning. It is used by MIB tooling and compliance validation during UCS SNMP agent development and certification rather than for live monitoring. Engineers can download the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-CONFORM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-CONFORM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- vendor-neutral SNMP tooling artifact
- applies to Cisco UCS fabric interconnects and servers implementing UCS fault management
Monitoring Examples
This MIB contains only conformance objects -- cucsFaultMIBConform, cucsFaultMIBCompliances, and cucsFaultMIBGroups -- with no runtime data objects, so there is no realistic monitoring scenario; it exists purely to define compliance groupings for active/cleared fault notifications in the associated UCS fault MIB.
