Description: Manages MPEG-over-IP (MoIP) output configuration and stream delivery on the Cisco DMN D9800 satellite gateway.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-DMN-DSG-MOIP-MIB?
CISCO-DMN-DSG-MOIP-MIB is part of the Cisco DMN D9800 digital satellite gateway family and manages MPEG-over-IP (MoIP) output, the mechanism by which the gateway packages MPEG transport streams for delivery over an IP network. It exposes configuration objects for each IP output instance, including transport protocol, IP version, destination and source addressing, ports, and SAP/multicast announcement settings, organized in the moipIPOConfigTable. From a monitoring standpoint it is primarily a configuration/status MIB for a core software function of the gateway: verifying that each output stream is enabled, correctly addressed, and using the intended transport protocol is essential to confirming the device is actively and correctly delivering video/data. It relies on the underlying CISCO-DMN-DSG platform MIBs (production, protocols) that describe the surrounding device context. It is used in headend and satellite-to-IP gateway deployments where operators must confirm each configured multicast/unicast output stream is live and properly targeted, and a CISCO-DMN-DSG-MOIP-MIB download is a routine step when provisioning monitoring for a new D9800 gateway.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-DMN-DSG-MOIP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

- Cisco DMN D9800 digital satellite gateway
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would walk moipIPOConfigTable/moipIPOConfigEntry, checking moipIPOConfigOutputEnabled per moipIPOConfigID to see which output instances (moipIPOConfigInstanceName) are active, and cross-reference moipIPOConfigDestIPAddr, moipIPOConfigDestPort, and moipIPOConfigSrcPort against expected downstream receivers. Comparing moipIPOConfigTPProtocol and moipIPOConfigIPVer against moipIPOTable/moipIPOInfo status would reveal a stream configured for the wrong IP version or protocol, a common cause of silent stream delivery failure. This lets an operator catch a disabled or misaddressed output before downstream decoders lose signal.
What Can Be Monitored
- MoIP output enabled state
- output instance name
- transport protocol
- IP version
- destination IP address and port
- source port and SAP multicast address
