Description: Provides management objects for monitoring running processes, CPU utilization, and process health on Cisco UCS/Firepower management nodes.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-PROC-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-PROC-MIB is a Cisco Systems proprietary MIB representing the PROC (process) management-information package within Cisco Firepower Chassis Manager. Its doer table (instance ID, distinguished/relative name, process ID/name) tracks individual worker processes, a manager table tracks the parent process manager, a port table (PRT) tracks managed ports by ID/name, and a port-counts table tracks per-port statistics including a cache-no-space condition. As a status MIB it lets a Firepower administrator inventory running processes and their associated ports, and watch for cache-exhaustion conditions. It is deployed on Cisco Firepower chassis platforms. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-PROC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-PROC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Firepower chassis platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cfprProcPrtCountsCachenospc to catch a Firepower chassis process running low on cache space before it starts affecting throughput.
