Description: Provides management objects for Serial over LAN (SoL) console configuration and access on Cisco UCS/Firepower compute nodes.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-SOL-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-SOL-MIB is a Cisco Systems proprietary MIB representing the SOL (Serial-over-LAN) management-information package within Cisco Firepower Chassis Manager. Its configuration table records admin state, description, policy level/owner, and speed for the chassis-wide SOL setting, while an interface table records the same per blade/server interface, alongside a policy table. As a configuration/status MIB it lets a Firepower administrator confirm Serial-over-LAN is enabled with the correct speed before using it for out-of-band console access to a blade. It is deployed on Cisco Firepower chassis platforms. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-SOL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-SOL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Firepower chassis platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cfprSolIfAdminState and Speed to confirm Serial-over-LAN is enabled with the expected baud rate before using it for out-of-band console access to a Firepower blade.
