Description: Provides management objects for monitoring PCI bus device inventory and PCIe adapter status on Cisco UCS/Firepower compute nodes.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-PCI-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-PCI-MIB is a Cisco Systems proprietary MIB representing the PCI (server/blade hardware inventory) management-information package within Cisco Firepower Chassis Manager. Its equipment-slot table records controller/host-reported flags, discovery state, fault-aggregation, slot ID, left/right MAC address, model, revision, serial number, SMBIOS ID, and vendor, while a unit table records unit ID, location, and model. As a hardware-inventory MIB it lets a Firepower administrator confirm a blade/server slot's exact hardware identification and discovery state. It is deployed on Cisco Firepower chassis platforms. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-PCI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-PCI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Firepower chassis platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cfprPciEquipSlotDiscoveryState and Serial to confirm a newly-inserted blade in a Firepower chassis was correctly discovered and identify its exact hardware.
