Category: Cisco Devices, Hardware and Environment

Description: Provides management objects for NFS mount configuration and storage access on Cisco UCS/Firepower management and compute nodes.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-NFS-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-NFS-MIB is part of the Cisco UCS/Firepower model-based MIB family covering NFS (Network File System) mount configuration used by the management/compute nodes for tasks such as image repositories or backup storage. It exposes mount endpoint and mount definition tables describing the administrative state and description of configured NFS mounts. This is a configuration/availability-status MIB relevant to monitoring whether external storage mounts required for firmware images, backups, or logs are enabled and reachable. As with sibling Firepower MIBs, it follows the shared Dn/Rn/InstanceId managed-object model of Cisco's UCS Manager information model rather than an external standards dependency, though it naturally interacts with standard NFS protocol behavior on the storage server side. It is deployed on Cisco UCS/Firepower management nodes that rely on NFS shares for storage and backup operations. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-NFS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-NFS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS/Firepower management and compute nodes

Monitoring Examples

An admin can poll cfprNfsMountDefTable/cfprNfsMountDefEntry to check cfprNfsMountDefAdminState and cfprNfsMountDefDescr, confirming a backup NFS mount is administratively enabled, and check cfprNfsEpTable for the corresponding endpoint status to detect a mount that has been disabled or misconfigured, which would cause scheduled backups or image transfers to silently fail.

What Can Be Monitored

  • NFS mount admin state
  • mount endpoint status
  • mount description/definition
  • storage mount availability
