Description: Provides management objects for image provisioning workflows and firmware staging on Cisco UCS/Firepower hardware components.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-IMGPROV-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-IMGPROV-MIB models image provisioning and firmware staging workflows for hardware components within Cisco UCS/Firepower chassis, tracking which firmware policies are defined and which hardware targets they apply to. It exposes a policy table describing provisioning policy ownership and level, and a target table identifying the specific hardware elements being staged with firmware. The MIB is centered on monitoring software version/provisioning status: it reveals which firmware policy governs a component and, via the target table, whether a given piece of hardware has an outstanding or completed image-provisioning task. It is part of the Cisco UCS/Firepower management information model, sharing DN/RN addressing conventions with related Firepower MIBs. It is deployed on Cisco UCS/Firepower chassis and blade/rack servers during firmware upgrade and image management operations. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-IMGPROV-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-IMGPROV-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS/Firepower chassis, blade and rack servers

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll cfprImgprovPolicyTable, reading cfprImgprovPolicyPolicyLevel and cfprImgprovPolicyPolicyOwner for a policy named via cfprImgprovPolicyName, then check cfprImgprovTargetTable to identify which hardware targets are bound to that policy. A target still bound to an outdated policy after a scheduled firmware rollout would indicate the image-provisioning task did not complete on that hardware component.

What Can Be Monitored

  • firmware provisioning policy level and owner
  • policy name and description
  • provisioning targets
  • target-to-policy binding
