What Is AcBoard?

AcBoard is a vendor-specific MIB from AudioCodes that defines board and module management objects shared across AudioCodes' modular voice gateway product lines, covering hardware configuration, TDM bus settings, network settings, trunk/PSTN protocol configuration, and default channel parameters. Its boardConfiguration branch includes boardTDMBusSettings (PCM companding law, TDM bus clock source/speed/type, master/slave selection), networkSettings (UDP port ranges, gateway/board IP addresses, control-protocol type, SNMP manager table, NTP settings), trunkSettings (per-trunk framing method, PSTN protocol type such as ISDN/CAS/QSIG variants, line code, D-channel/NFAS configuration, administrative state), and mGCPSettings/acDefaultChannelSettings for MGCP call-agent addressing and default voice/fax channel behavior (jitter buffer, fax relay/bypass mode, DTMF handling). Notably, nearly all objects in this MIB are marked STATUS obsolete as of the version 4.4 update, reflecting a legacy configuration model superseded by newer AudioCodes management interfaces, though the objects remain readable for legacy deployments. It has no cross-MIB dependencies beyond standard SNMPv2-SMI/TC imports and is deployed on AudioCodes modular gateway hardware (e.g., TrunkPack-VoIP boards). Engineers supporting legacy AudioCodes gateways can download the AcBoard MIB Browser-compatible file to inspect board, trunk, and channel default configuration on these systems.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AcBoard. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • AudioCodes modular voice gateway boards (e.g., TrunkPack-VoIP product line)

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls trunkSettingsTable (indexed by trunkId) to check protocolType and acTrunkAdminState for a given E1/T1 trunk, alongside acLedStatusColor; a trunk showing acTrunkAdminState locked(0) or acLedStatusColor red(1) would indicate the trunk is administratively disabled or reporting a hardware/line fault, disrupting voice call capacity on that trunk.

What Can Be Monitored

  • TDM bus clock source and configuration
  • per-trunk PSTN protocol type and administrative state
  • trunk LED status color/blink rate (fault indication)
  • network/SNMP manager and NTP configuration
  • MGCP call-agent addressing
  • default channel jitter buffer, fax, and DTMF handling settings
