What Is CISCO-FASTHUB-MIB?

CISCO-FASTHUB-MIB is a Cisco enterprise MIB for the Catalyst FastHub series of stackable Ethernet hubs, a legacy shared-media hub product line. It exposes stack-management data covering the number of units in a hub stack, capacity, primary supervisor selection, and reset/diagnostic controls, plus a supervisor event log table. For hardware/software status monitoring it is used to check stack composition (units present vs. capacity), trigger or observe POST (power-on self-test) results, monitor jabber-loop corrections indicating cabling/NIC faults, and review the supervisor log for recorded hub events. It has no stated dependency on other MIBs beyond standard Cisco enterprise conventions. It was typically deployed in legacy wiring-closet Ethernet hub stacks managed via CiscoView or SNMP-based network management stations.
