Description: Declares SNMP agent capabilities for MLD snooping management on Cisco IPv6 multicast switching platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module that documents which parts of the companion CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-MIB (IPv6 Multicast Listener Discovery snooping) are supported by a particular Cisco device/software release. It contains no operational objects of its own, only conformance statements mapping agent versions to supported object groups. As a pure capabilities declaration it has no bearing on monitoring hardware/software status directly; its only function is to tell an NMS which MLD snooping features (e.g., per-VLAN snooping state, group membership tracking) are implemented before that NMS attempts to poll them. It is entirely dependent on CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-MIB, the module that defines the actual IPv6 multicast snooping data. Typical deployment context is management-station MIB compilation for Cisco Layer 2/Layer 3 switches running IPv6 multicast. Engineers can download the CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-CAPABILITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This module contains only AGENT-CAPABILITIES SUPPORTS statements referencing CISCO-MLD-SNOOPING-MIB object groups; there are no tables or scalars to poll. No realistic monitoring scenario applies — it is consulted by management tools solely to determine feature support.
