Category: Fibre Channel and Storage

Description: Manages ATTO Technology Fibre Channel bridge devices, monitoring FC and SCSI port health and I/O performance.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ATTOBRIDGE-MIB?

ATTOBRIDGE-MIB is a vendor MIB from ATTO Technology for its Fibre Channel-to-SCSI bridge product line, used to connect legacy SCSI storage devices into Fibre Channel SANs. It exposes hardware environmental sensor data (temperature and voltage sensor tables with per-sensor status) alongside SNMP trap/feature enable flags for the bridge's management agent. This makes it a genuine hardware-health monitoring MIB: tempSensorStatus and voltageSensorStatus per sensor directly flag overheating or power-supply irregularities inside the bridge chassis, which is critical for a device sitting in the data path between SCSI storage and an FC SAN. It is a self-contained product MIB with no described dependency on other standard MIBs beyond basic SNMP trap delivery. It is deployed on ATTO FibreBridge appliances used in SANs to migrate or extend the life of SCSI-attached tape and disk storage. Engineers can download the ATTOBRIDGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ATTOBRIDGE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ATTO Technology Fibre Channel-to-SCSI bridge

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll tempSensorTable/tempSensorEntry (tempSensorIndex, temperature, tempSensorStatus) and voltageSensorTable/voltageSensorEntry (voltageSensorIndex, voltageSensorStatus) to catch a bridge chassis running hot or a power rail out of tolerance. If trapsEnabled and snmpExtendedEnabled are set, the bridge would also send a trap the moment a sensor status transitions out of normal, letting the SAN administrator react before the bridge shuts down or drops storage connectivity.

What Can Be Monitored

  • chassis temperature per sensor
  • sensor status (temperature/voltage)
  • voltage levels per sensor
  • SNMP trap/feature enable flags
