Description: Manages X.25 packet-switched network interface configuration on Ascend WAN access equipment.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ASCEND-MIBX25-MIB?

ASCEND-MIBX25-MIB is an Ascend Communications (later Lucent) proprietary MIB defining X.25 dial profiles on Ascend MAX/TNT remote-access equipment. Its profile table, keyed by name, records active/kludge flags, nailed-up group and mode, called-number type, switched-call type, phone/billing/transit number, call-by-call ID, X.25 timer values (T1/T2/N2), window size (K), idle timer, packet window/size settings (min/max/default), and related PAD parameters. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm an X.25 profile's timers and window sizes before troubleshooting a dial-up X.25 connection. It is deployed on Ascend (Lucent) MAX/TNT remote-access equipment with X.25 support. Engineers can download the ASCEND-MIBX25-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ASCEND-MIBX25-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Ascend (Lucent) MAX/TNT remote-access equipment (X.25)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks x25Profile-oT1Val and x25Profile-Maxwinsize to confirm an X.25 dial profile's timer and window settings match the far end when a connection fails to establish.

What Can Be Monitored
