Description: Manages user account definitions and access privileges on Ascend WAN access equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ASCEND-MIBUSER-MIB?
ASCEND-MIBUSER-MIB is a legacy Ascend Communications (later Lucent) proprietary MIB (built on ASCEND-MIB) configuring console-login user profiles on Ascend WAN access equipment. Its mibuserProfile table, keyed by name, records password, active-enabled flag, permission flags (allow terminal-server, system, diagnostic, update, password, code access), idle-logout timer, prompt string, default/top/bottom/left status-line settings, screen width/length, status-line length, scroll-region usage, log-display level, and a default action. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm which console permissions a given login profile grants on a legacy Ascend (Lucent) WAN access device. It is deployed on legacy Ascend Communications (Lucent) WAN access equipment. Engineers can download the ASCEND-MIBUSER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ASCEND-MIBUSER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Ascend Communications (Lucent) WAN access equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks userProfile-AllowDiagnostic to confirm whether a given login profile grants diagnostic-command access on a legacy Ascend (Lucent) device.
What Can Be Monitored
- console login-profile permission configuration
