All MIBs › ASCEND-MIBSTM1INT-MIB
Category: Optical and WDM, Vendor: Ascend/Lucent
Description: Manages STM-1 SDH interface configuration and performance on Ascend optical equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ASCEND-MIBSTM1INT-MIB?
ASCEND-MIBSTM1INT-MIB is an Ascend proprietary MIB for STM-1 (155 Mbps SDH) optical interface configuration and performance monitoring on Ascend optical transport equipment. It exposes line configuration (framing, clocking) and performance counters, including alarms and errored seconds, for STM-1 interfaces. Its monitoring emphasis is physical-layer fault/performance detection: line alarm status and error counters reveal optical fiber/interface health. It complements IETF standard SDH/SONET-MIB conventions for optical transport. It was deployed on Ascend/Lucent SDH transport nodes in telco access and aggregation networks, and an ASCEND-MIBSTM1INT-MIB download from vendor MIB archives lets an operator load it into a MIB browser for reference.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ASCEND-MIBSTM1INT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ascend/Lucent SDH transport equipment (STM-1 interfaces)
Monitoring Examples
No sample objects were captured for this module. Based on its purpose, it would expose per-interface STM-1 alarm status and errored-second counters, which an operator polls to detect a degrading or failed optical link.
What Can Be Monitored
- STM-1 line alarm status
- errored seconds/performance counters
- framing/clock configuration
