Description: Manages general service and configuration plan parameters on Ascend WAN access equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ASCEND-MIBPLAN-MIB?
ASCEND-MIBPLAN-MIB is an Ascend Communications (later Lucent) proprietary MIB configuring numbering-plan profiles used for call routing and billing on Ascend access equipment. Its profile table, keyed by plan number, records profile name, call-by-call service ID, switch call type, called-number type, transit number, billing number, digits to prepend, PRI numbering-plan ID, destination number, and an action field. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm how inbound/outbound call numbers are transformed and routed according to a configured numbering plan. It is deployed on Ascend Communications (Lucent) access equipment. Engineers can download the ASCEND-MIBPLAN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ASCEND-MIBPLAN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ascend Communications (Lucent) access equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks planProfile-DestNumber and planProfile-PrependDigits to confirm a numbering-plan profile correctly transforms dialed digits on Ascend access equipment.
What Can Be Monitored
- numbering-plan profile call-routing configuration
