What Is ASCEND-MIBINET-MIB?

This is a proprietary Ascend Communications MIB covering general IP network interface configuration on Ascend WAN/dial access equipment. It exposes IP addressing, interface enable/disable state, and basic network-layer configuration parameters. While mainly configuration-oriented, it also supports monitoring by exposing interface operational state, which indicates whether the underlying WAN interface is passing IP traffic correctly, reflecting the software/hardware status of the connection. It typically complements the standard IETF IP-MIB and IF-MIB rather than replacing them. It is deployed on Ascend remote-access/dial-up concentrators and routers used by ISPs to terminate customer WAN or dial connections. Engineers can download the ASCEND-MIBINET-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
