What Is ASCEND-MIBDMTALNET-MIB?

ASCEND-MIBDMTALNET-MIB is a private MIB from Ascend Communications for managing DMT (Discrete Multi-Tone) ADSL line network interface parameters on Ascend DSL access/aggregation equipment. No module description or sample objects were retrievable for this MIB in this batch, but based on its name it would expose configuration and status objects for the DSL line's network-side (versus subscriber-side) DMT modulation parameters, such as line rate, margin, and attenuation on the ADSL network interface. Its monitoring value would primarily be physical-layer/hardware status -- line synchronization state, signal-to-noise margin, and attenuation -- which are the standard health indicators for DSL line quality. It may parallel or complement the standard ADSL-LINE-MIB given the DMT ADSL terminology, though this cannot be confirmed without the actual MIB text.
