Module: ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-SERV-MIB

OID (symbolic): ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-SERV-MIB::svcEndPointSuppressStandbySig

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.4.2.19.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-create

Description:

The value of the object svcEndPointSuppressStandbySig specifies whether the 'pseudo wire forwarding standby' bit will be sent to the LDP peer whenever the spoke SDP 'svcEndPointTxActiveSdpId' is selected as standby.

When set to 'true', this bit will not be sent.

What is svcEndPointSuppressStandbySig?

This object controls whether a specific signaling bit is sent to the LDP (Label Distribution Protocol) peer when a standby service endpoint becomes the active one, suppressing redundant or unnecessary signaling. This flag is used to optimize protocol behavior during failover by reducing signaling traffic. Network operators might enable this to reduce churn in large-scale deployments with frequent failovers.
