Description: The value of svcEndPointActiveHoldDelay specifies the amount of time in deci-seconds to hold the active state before going into the standby state when a local MC-LAG SAP goes down.

What is svcEndPointActiveHoldDelay?

This OID holds a true/false switch that controls how long a device waits (in tenths of a second) before switching from active to standby mode. When a link failure occurs on the primary connection in a redundant setup, this delay prevents rapid failover that could cause service disruption. A network operator might set this to 50 (5 seconds) to allow time for routing to stabilize before switching backup lines into service.
