Description: Alcatel OmniSwitch IS-IS Shortest Path Bridging MIB for managing SPB topology, I-SIDs, and B-VLAN parameters.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ALCATEL-IND1-ISIS-SPB-MIB?
ALCATEL-IND1-ISIS-SPB-MIB is an Alcatel-Lucent enterprise MIB for the OmniSwitch IND1 platform family, managing IS-IS Shortest Path Bridging (SPB), an alternative to spanning tree that uses a link-state protocol to compute loop-free Ethernet paths. It exposes system-wide SPB configuration (control B-VLAN, admin state, IS-IS area address and system ID, bridge priority) along with separate SPBM/SPBV mode objects for the two SPB variants. As a configuration/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm SPB is enabled with the correct area address and bridge priority across a fabric of switches. It is deployed on Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch data-center and campus switches building an SPB fabric. Engineers can download the ALCATEL-IND1-ISIS-SPB-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ALCATEL-IND1-ISIS-SPB-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch (IND1 family) switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator compares alcatelIND1IsisSpbSysAreaAddress and alcatelIND1IsisSpbSysBridgePriority across fabric switches to confirm all members share a consistent IS-IS area and an expected bridge-priority hierarchy for root election.
What Can Be Monitored
- SPB admin state
- IS-IS area address and bridge priority

| INT alcatelIND1IsisSpbSysOverloadStatus | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.2.1.10.17.1.1.1.16 | INTEGER | read-only | Indicates whether or not this isis-spb instance is in overload state. When has the value 'notInOverload', the IS-IS level is normal state. When the value is 'dynamic', the level is in the overload state because of insufficient memeory to add additional entries to the IS-IS database for this level. When the value is 'manual', the level has been put into the overload state administratively as a result of the alcatelIND1IsisSpbSysSetOverload object having been set. |
| U32 alcatelIND1IsisSpbSysOverloadTimeout | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.2.1.10.17.1.1.1.13 | Unsigned32 | read-write | The value of alcatelIND1IsisSpbSysOverloadTimeout is the amount of time, in seconds, the router operates in the overload state before attempting to reestablish normal operations. While in overload state, this IS-IS router will only be used if the destination is only reachable via this router; it is not used for other transit traffic. Operationally placing the router into the overload state is often used as a precursor to shutting down the IS-IS protocol operation. The value of 0 means the router is in overload infinitely. |
